Want to discuss the issues and candidates with other Arnold residents? |
Contact UsArnoldVote.info is the creation of Will Hanke, owner of Lighthouse Technologies in Arnold. Will has been professionally designing websites since 1997 when his tour with the United States Air Force ended. He also runs WhereIsMyBusiness.com. If you'd like to contact Will, please email him at will@TechLH.com A Message From Will HankeI'd first like to say thank you for visiting this site. I've put some hard work into gathering all the information, and truly hope it helps you make a more informed decision about the upcoming election. I've been Arnold Talk since March of 2004. After the April elections in 2006, I noticed that there were a lot of frustrated residents in Arnold who didn't know much about the city council, their positions, or their involvement in the city. That's one reason why I started this website. Another? Well, its a bit more personal. I'm tired of seeing hundreds of political signs around each election. Sure, they're part of the deal, but not a part I have to like. With the advent of the Internet, why do we still have to wait for the paper or talk to a friend to find out about our candidates? Why can't all the information be in one easy to find and understand spot? Information that's immediate and up-to-date, that's what I want. And why do we need hundreds of signs littering our otherwise beautiful town? Well, I know I won't get rid of the signs. But hopefully the candidates will use theirs less. I've given each candidate an equal opportunity to post their thoughts and campaign ideas on this site. Some of them have, some have not. I won't interfere or put any bias on any of them. They'll get to post what they desire, and hopefully they'll send some of their residents to this site instead of putting up another useless sign. Lastly, I want to make it known that I'm doing this on my own, using my own money and not taking "contributions" from any candidate. If you are a business owner, and would like to sponsor this site, I'd be glad to promote your business. Local businesses are a huge part of this community and I've spent years helping promote them in a town that prefers big business over Mom & Pop, but that's another story for another day. Cheers,
